HYENAS

HYENAS is Creative Assembly’s high-octane extraction hero shooter, set in space with a zero-gravity
twist on the genre.

 
 

HYENAS marked my first steps into AAA game development, cutting my teeth on designing within complex large-scale systems. My role on the team as Game Engagement Designer involved building the mechanisms that helped make HYENAS a highly-entertaining and engaging game for players to enjoy throughout our Alpha and Beta Testing. This included things like progression systems, challenges, missions, figuring out ways for players to show off their skills and to express themselves.

 
 
With slick FPS action, satisfying Payday-lite heists, and zero-gravity battles, Hyenas is shaping up to be one of the best new shooters of the year.

HYENAS never made it to its full release. Nonetheless, the project received loads of love from our early community, including heart-warming player sentiment, brilliant fan art, and positive media reception after our public testing came online. Working on HYENAS with the world-class team at Creative Assembly was a privilege. The great thing about game development is that projects, concepts, and ideas have a way of coming back round in one way or another.
